Today I made a batch of fermented gherkins for the family. This was really a win – win situation for us because my parents love fermented food and I love gherkins.
The recipe I used was this one but it was modified a bit due to the fact that our pantry doesn’t seem to be as well-stocked as everyone else’s. I also made my own pickling spice using this recipe, which was also modified for the same reasons.

The pickles have to ferment for a few weeks so I will update this post when they are ready. Until then…
